Most men and women over the age of 40 and frequently younger, experience a hormone imbalance. Over our lifetime, we are exposed to environmental and dietary toxins, which contribute to the natural decline of hormones as we age. In order to balance your hormones for optimal health and wellness, it is critical to be evaluated by a highly trained medical staff – including comprehensive lab testing and in depth initial questionnaires – prior to creating a personalized treatment plan.

What are Bioidentical Hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are derived from naturally occurring sources, such as yams and soy, and are designed to replicate the same chemical structure as the hormones that are produced naturally by our bodies. Based on your unique hormone levels, a bioidentical hormone regimen is specifically designed for you.

Bioidentical hormones are different from synthetic hormones as each treatment is specifically formulated for the individual patient.

Signs of Hormonal Imbalance
Persistent weight gain
Underlying hormonal imbalances can make it difficult to maintain a healthy weight.

Belly fat and loss of muscle mass
When your endocrine system is under stress there’s an underproduction of certain hormones and an overproduction of others (mainly cortisol). This makes your body store fat for future use, making an increase in belly fat a clue to adrenal fatigue.

Low libido
One of the most noticeable symptoms of hormonal imbalance is low libido, which starts with disturbed sleep.

Fatigue
It isn’t normal to feel sluggish, scattered or mentally foggy.

Anxiety, irritability and depression
Anxiety and depression are clues that you may have a hormonal imbalance.

Insomnia and poor sleep patterns
Lack of sleep causes physical stress and increases cortisol levels, which in turn may affect hormonal balances.

Sweating
For many women, night sweats and hot flashes are the first uncomfortable sign that something may need to be examined.

Digestion problems
Gas, bloating and slow digestion are common hormonal problems that aren’t usually associated with hormonal imbalances. When you don’t have optimal digestion, your body losing nutrional benefits.

Cravings
Common causes of cravings and excess eating are adrenal fatigue, insulin resistance, and other hormonal imbalances.
